Yagyas are traditional vedic rituals done with the aim of invoking godly powers toward a  particular aim .Yagya is derived from Sanskrit root word yaj which means fire sacrifice. It’s a complete form of worship where mantra chanting, homa , worship all are done as per the traditional injunction .For a yagya to be successful its important that traditionally trained priests conduct it as per the correct muhurta and other ritualistic observances. Such is the efficacy of yagya that when all other methods fail it is taken recourse to as they seldom fail. Personal experiences of many would prove this point. Yagyas have a thorough scientific basis which is corroborated by modern science also. The oblatory smoke given off in yagya  is found to destroy a number of dreaded disease causing bacteria. However its real merit lies in parjanya which becomes the sublime conductor of spiritual energy. The principles and details of performing yagya form the subject matter of yajurveda one of the four Vedas. Seprate kind of yagyas are to be performed for seprate objectives.The repeated chanting of powerful vedic mantras in conjunction with rituals is said to establish contact with the deity. They give remarkable result esp  in the case of grave illnesses or if some enterprise of importance is encountering frequent setbacks. The chief merit of yagya lies in their being 100 percent positive for they generate energy of superior order.
